In 2017, our family of five (3 kids ages 9, 8 and 6 at the time) embarked on a global adventure for one year. My husband and I decided to home school our children and take them on a journey of world exploration -- exposing them to various cultures, people, food, religions and everything else in between. Grateful for this privilege and our amazing experience. Hello NYC!!

Day 1: We arrive in New York! Wow, are we so tired. We just came off a plane flight from Denver and had to wake up at 4:30 to make the shuttle ride to the airport. It is 10:00 AM right now because of time change so we are going to get some lunch because we are SO hungry (and tired).  So we check into our hotel room which is barely big enough to fit us and take a quick shower. Then we go exploring! We walk to a restaurant that my mom had planned before, which happened to be about 45 minutes away, but New York is fun to explore so we of course just walk.  My mom told us along the walk that we were going to this restaurant called “Stardust.” So apparently, people that are good actors and singers that wanted to get a job on Broadway come to this place to be waiters. They sing songs, they also have lots of entertainment, and awesome milkshakes. We ordered and then watched all the waiters sing. It was incredible! They even had confetti!
