Hello NYC!!
Day 1: We arrive in New York! Wow, are we so tired. We just came off a plane flight from Denver and had to wake up at 4:30 to make the shuttle ride to the airport. It is 10:00 AM right now because of time change so we are going to get some lunch because we are SO hungry (and tired).
So we check into our hotel room which is barely big enough to fit us and take a quick shower. Then we go exploring! We walk to a restaurant that my mom had planned before, which happened to be about 45 minutes away, but New York is fun to explore so we of course just walk.
My mom told us along the walk that we were going to this restaurant called “Stardust.” So apparently, people that are good actors and singers that wanted to get a job on Broadway come to this place to be waiters. They sing songs, they also have lots of entertainment, and awesome milkshakes. We ordered and then watched all the waiters sing. It was incredible! They even had confetti! The down side, we had to wait for about 30 minutes in line to get a table because the place was so popular. Though, I think it was worth it because I loved the food, and the singers.
The last song was a song from the musical “Wicked” which by the way was across the street from the restaurant. I wanted to just go over there to see the outside, so when we got there we noticed a lot of people standing around. So we went inside and we saw a lottery thing that gave away 2 free tickets if you won. Ten people were going to get picked. So with about 4 minutes left until the drawing, we all put our names in the lottery and waited until the drawing. Then the guy that was doing the drawing came out and pulled 9 names. Then he pulled one last one and guess what he said, “Elyse Everding” and Elyse pulled mom to come with her.
Day 2: Wow! I will never forget yesterday! Anyway, we have to get up early today. We are going to the top of 30 Rock today. We woke up a bit late, so we need to take an Uber to get there. We finally arrive and eat breakfast at a bakery. Then we ride a cool elevator up to the top and look around, it is so beautiful! You can see Central Park, many skyscrapers, and even as far as New Jersey!
Then we try to make it to see the Philippine Parade. Then one person that is in the parade asked us if we want to ride on one of the floats. We say yes, but my dad and my sister Brynn want to just watch us in the parade. So we wave Philippine flags and smile.
After the parade, we go to Bryant Park and eat lunch. Then we take the Subway to upper east side of New York and go to this amazing candy store which is 3 floors high. We get some candy and bring it to a park and nap and eat the candy there. Then it starts to rain so we take a bus home and lay down in our hotel for about an hour. Then we go to this pizza place that’s close by and eat pizza, salad, and yummy pasta. It’s all so delicious. Then we go home and go to bed. We had another super, day!
Day 3: We wake up and walk to Starbucks because my dad has to work, and my mom has to work on our trip. Us three need to work on our Blog posts. We stay there for a long time and then go back home to check out of our hotel. They let us keep our stuff there for a couple hours because our plane is at midnight. Then we took the subway to a cool museum and stayed there for a while.
Next, we walked to the candy store (again) and we got some other candy. Finally, we take the subway home and collect our luggage.
Then we took a taxi to the airport and wait, and wait (with a 30 min delay) and we board the plane. Good bye New York City, hello Madrid, Spain!

Then dad bought tickets that were a good deal because he wanted the entire family to come. They were cheaper, but still expensive. But the show was that night and we were not even dressed nicely because we were all in like shorts and sweatshirts. So my mom took me and Brynn to run down to Old Navy and us three picked out dresses, well my mom didn’t but Brynn and I did. We also got flip-flops.
Then we hurried back and went inside. The musical was the best entertainment thing I had ever seen! It started at 8 Pm and ended at around 10 pm. We were so tired! We got a quick slice of pizza and took an Uber home. We got home around midnight and we were SO tired. We fell right to sleep after a long, adventurous day!
